Eithne Treanor is the founder and managing director of E Treanor Media – a consultancy specialising in energy and communications - based in Dubai. She is a professional conference moderator and facilitator and an expert media trainer. She is also an energy industry journalist and commentator.
Eithne has interviewed politicians, dignitaries, and high - ranking business people, specifically in the energy sector and has written and reported for television, radio and print publications. Her TV experience spans major international networks including ABC News, Sky News, BBC World, Bloomberg and CNBC.  Eithne continues to contribute on a freelance basis to CNBC Arabia and business news radio in Dubai.  She is also a regular contributor to many energy trade and corporate publications.
As an experienced communication trainer, Eithne Treanor empowers business executives, political leaders and professionals to sharpen their message and reach their audience.
She is OPEC’s official on-air conference and web-cast moderator and has moderated many OPEC Summits and International Energy Forums. She conducted hundreds of media, presentation and panel training sessions for high-level executives around the world.
Eithne is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin with a post-graduate diploma in International Relations from the London School of Economics.

John Defterios is CNN's Emerging Markets Editor and anchor of Global Exchange, CNN’s new prime time business show focused on the emerging and BRIC markets. John has also been the anchor of ‘CNN Marketplace Middle East’, since 2007, a weekly business programme featuring in-depth analysis and top newsmakers from across the Middle East.
Defterios has more than two decades of financial news and current affairs experience covering some of the landmarks events during that period including the Gulf War, the  fall of the Berlin Wall, the World Trade Centre bombings and G8/G20 summits from his postings in London, Washington, New York, Los Angeles, Rome and the Middle East.
He is a World Economic Forum media leader and member of the Global Agenda Council on the Arab World and has served as Chairman of the Business Week Leadership Forums in London, Beijing and New York, the World Islamic Economic Forum amongst others. Defterios started at CNN in New York as correspondent on “Moneyline with Lou Dobbs”, anchored CNN’s “World Business Today” and the top rated U.S. morning business program “Ahead of the Curve”.
Defterios has secured numerous exclusive interviews including:  European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet and Bundesbank President Hans Tietmayer, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, UAE Prime Minister & Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Saudi Arabian Oil Ministers Ali al Naimi & Sheikh Ahmed Zaki Yamani and many of the top CEOs in the Fortune 100.    He has travelled on assignment throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
Prior to CNN, Defterios worked for Reuters Television as European Correspondent, West Coast Correspondent and special series producer in a joint-venture with The Nightly Business Report on PBS-TV.
