The Ministry of Non-Renewable Natural Resources of Ecuador guarantees sustainable exploitation and sovereignty of non-renewable natural resources. The Ministry formulates policies, controls their implementation and promotes research and development of both mining and oil sectors. The purposes are the consolidation of state sovereignty over its  non-renewable resources, the promotion of social participation in effective areas and the reversion of previous Ecuadorian condition: from a commodity-exporter country to an exporter of mining and oil services and added value products.
